Call for Presenters and Entertainers

The Wisconsin Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (WisRID) is seeking presenters for our Annual Conference 2020 theme of “Make Every Connection Matter”. Knowledge is power! Everyone we encounter affords a new opportunity for us to make a sustainable connection and learn information to apply to our personal and professional lives. Each connection made and the information obtained, has the unique power to shape who we become.

Presentations are sought on all topics related to the field as well as non-interpreting related topics (including but not limited to professionalism, multicultural awareness, Deaf history, and other topics based on American Sign Language and Deaf organizations).

Proposed sessions will be selected based on the information you provide. BE CREATIVE! To fit our schedule, we are looking for workshops that can be taught in 90 minutes, 3 hours, or 6 hours.

We are also searching for possible entertainers and conference interpreters. If you would be interested in applying for entertainment please provide us the proper information on this “Workshop Proposal Application”. If you’re interested in being one of our conference interpreters, please also fill out the “Conference Interpreter Application.”

Considerations will be given to those who are willing to provide dual services as both presenters and interpreters for the conference. Please note that you must send in both applications if you are interested in providing dual services.

Applications due by:  April 1st. 2020
