Call For Presenters and Entertainers

The Wisconsin Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (WisRID) is seeking workshop presentations that coincide with the theme of “Mission: Possible”. There are many difficulties that interpreters face in their daily work or in their path to licensure. This conference is about perseverance, overcoming adversity, and inspiring interpreters in all stages of their journey.

Presentations are sought on all topics related to the field as well as non-interpreting related topics (including but not limited to professionalism, multicultural awareness, Deaf history, and other topics based on American Sign Language and Deaf organizations).

Proposed sessions will be selected based on the information you provide. BE CREATIVE! To fit our schedule, we are looking for workshops that can be taught in 90 minutes, 3 hours, or 6 hours.

We are also searching for possible entertainers and conference interpreters. If you would be interested in applying for entertainment please provide us the proper information on this “Workshop Proposal Application”.

If you’re interested in being one of our conference interpreters, please also fill out the “Conference Interpreter Application" when it becomes available. Considerations will be given to those who are willing to provide dual services as both presenters and interpreters for the conference. Please note that you must send in both applications if you are interested in providing dual services.
